Introduction from Pastor Patrick Curles

Dear Covenant Family,

We are excited to announce the rollout of Covenant’s very own app, called Covenant Nashville. This new app will make it easier for you to keep your information current, access the church-wide directory, make and view your contributions, and register for events. And there’s more! Other features include the ability to view live and recorded sermons, view the church calendar, and receive important notifications regarding inclement weather. It is our hope that this app is helpful and builds community here at Covenant. But we need your help!

In order for this to work well on our end and for you to be able to use the app effectively, we are asking everyone over the age of 18 to download and sign in to the Covenant Nashville app. Instructions are included with this letter.

Your name, email, mailing address, and phone numbers will be visible in the church directory on the Covenant Nashville app beginning Wednesday, October 26.

We realize that the security of information is a concern for many people, so I want to make a few points very clear:

First, you will have complete control over how much of your information (if any) is available in the church directory. In addition, Covenant does not disclose personal information it collects to outside parties.

We understand that not everyone wants their contact information shared. The Covenant Nashville app is linked to your profile that was created in the previous online community “myCovenant”; you now have access to manage that information at the Covenant Nashville website portal,

If you choose not to download the app, you can always update your information with the church by using the pew pad on Sundays, visiting, or by contacting the church office.

We hope that you will agree to some level of visibility in the church directory, but if you wish to opt out completely, simply follow the instructions on the enclosed sheet. Note: Even if you choose to hide your contact information in the church directory, our leadership (staff, elders, and care leaders) will still have access to your contact information.

Second, we take financial confidentiality very seriously. The Covenant Nashville app does provide the ability for you to make contributions and view your contribution history. That information can only be accessed by our business staff (Lois Huffman, Church Administrator, and Rhonda Chunn, Financial Assistant/Covenant Nashville Administrator).

Setting up your account is easy. Would you set aside a few minutes to set that up? This will help us do a better job of staying in touch with you and managing our ministries to better accomplish the Great Commission. Simply put, we can’t do our job very well if we don’t have good information, and we need your help to get good information!

God has blessed us with technology that makes ministry easier and more effective. I am grateful for your support and hope you will join me by enrolling today.

Your brother in Christ, Patrick Curles Executive Pastor

What is Covenant Nashville?

Covenant Nashville is our church app.

Through the app, you can:

  • Access the church directory and your ministry groups
  • Make contributions
  • View your giving records
  • View the church calendar and upcoming events
  • Register for events
  • Watch and listen to sermons and services – both live and recorded
  • And more!

This is your guide to setting up the app. Most of you will already have an account/profile. Each person should have their own Covenant Nashville account.

Step one

Download and configure the app.

Click the button for Apple or Google below.

App Store Button

Once you download and open the app, you will receive a few prompts related to setting up your app:

  • The first prompt will ask you to enable notifications. Select which push notifications you would like to receive.
  • Then you will be directed to “Create profile sign in.”
  • Select this option to enter your mobile number and receive a verification code. Note: If your phone number is not recognized, it means we do not have your mobile number on file. In this case, see the “Visit the Covenant Nashville portal” section in step three.
  • Enter your verification code.

The Covenant Nashville app is now linked to your profile in our Covenant Nashville database and is fully functional.  Note: If you do not link your app to your database account by verifying your phone number, the app will only be partially functional.

To get the most from the app, allow notifications. This will allow us to alert you to inclement weather changes and other important church-wide changes.

Step two

Update your personal information.

Note: Initially, your name, email, mailing address, and phone numbers will be visible to other church members in the church directory. You may edit and update this information, along with additional personal information not visible in the directory (e.g., birthday).

Update profile picture.

  • Click on the circle in the upper right corner with the person icon.
  • Click “Edit Profile”.
  • Make sure the words “Profile Picture” are underlined and selected.
  • Click the camera icon to take a photo or pick one from your photo library. Photos of your face work best.
  • Save your photo.

Update Email

  • Click on the “Edit Profile” button.
  • Click in the field you want to update and enter new contact information.
  • Tap “Save” (upper right hand).

Update Birthdate

Note: Your birthdate is not visible in the church directory.

  • Under “About Me,” click on Birthdate and select your birthdate.
  • Tap “Save” (upper right hand).

Update Mailing Address

  • Click “Mailing address.”
  • Enter a new address.
  • Tap “Save” (upper right hand).

Step three

Edit your Privacy Settings.

Note: By default, your name, picture, mailing address, phone numbers, and email will be visible to others in the church directory. If you want to hide any or all of that information, log in to our Covenant Nashville database using a web browser to manage your own privacy settings.

Login to the portal from this page.

  • Click “Forgot Password” if you do not know your password.
  • Type the email address associated with your church record.
  • Click “Reset Password.” An updated password will be sent to you automatically by the Covenant Nashville system.
  • Check your email for your username (which may be different from your email address) and new password. Be sure to check your spam/junk folder.
  • Make a note of your username and password for future reference.
  • Click on your user image in the top right of your browser screen.
  • Click on “Actions” and then “Privacy” to edit your privacy settings.

Note: If you don’t find your name or family and need to set up an account, please use only one person per profile. We also recommend each person have their own unique email address to avoid system issues. To prevent other issues, we need full names for children. Please know that children under the age of 18 will not show up to anyone except leadership.
